Wrong Steam Trade URL error

If you received a notification about an invalid Steam Trade URL, it means that trading is currently restricted on your Steam account.

What can cause a trading restriction and how to fix it:

  • Inventory visibility must be set to Public. You can change this at any time in your Steam profile privacy settings.
  • Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator must be active for at least 15 days.
  • If you’ve already activated Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator, you must wait at least 15 days from activation before you can trade skins on Steam again.
  • If you changed your Steam password, you must wait at least 5 days before trading skins again.
  • If you declined or canceled a large number of trade offers, you must wait at least 7 days before trading skins again.
  • If you changed your Steam nickname, you must wait 2–4 hours before trading becomes available again.

We also recommend checking the reason for the restriction on the official Steam Support site. After logging into your Steam account, you can see why trading was blocked on your account.
